We will be talking about the early formation of our Democracy, the history behind the Government, and the make-up of our political system and how it relates to our everyday lives.

Constitution Day - September 17th
The Constitution was submitted for signature of the convention delegates and to the 13 states for ratification on September 17, 1787. We celebrated by having a drawing of 10 students in each of my government classes; these 10 students in each class recieved a pocket Constitution booklet.
Currently:
We have been studying the U. S. Congress for the last 2 weeks. My government classes and Coach Dixon's government classes have been engaged in producing a mock congress. The students have collaborated and been involved in introducing as well as producing pieces of legislation. The following is a detailed explanation of their activities for this project:

The Executive Branch and The Presidency
